Taiwan exchange starts now!

This post is written on the plane to Kaohsiung and dedicated to #casebudzlove:

Aww I feel so much love from my favorite case budz!!

1. Look at the shirt that they gave me!
Isn't it the cutest ever! This photo came from a day where I was angsty (or so they claimed) and didn't want anyone to touch me LOL. Unfortunately, the case budz are a persistent bunch and all grabbed on to my arms while taking a selfie! I didn't know what to do so I did a double act cool pose with a crazed look HAHA. This was the actual photo XD.

Haha see I was totally non-angsty LOL. At first none of them were available to collect the shirt but Kc was so awesome as to go out of his way to collect the shirt while on a date!!! :00000 awesomeness level too high LOL

2. Sending me at an unearthly time of 5am!
At first I really didn't wanna bother them to wake up so early! For the case budz, the day usually starts at 12noon and beyond. I was touched that they went camping at KC's house and drove all the way to Changi Airport to see me for 45min TTTT <3 so much love. I haven't met such onz friends before!
One solo shot with le BFF. How are we gonna survive without each other TTTT the last time we came to Taiwan for AIESEC we had each other so I wasn't too emo TTTTT miss doing random stuff and hanging out with Jocepuru already @:/

3. Creating an awesome video for me.
They created a video overnight during the camping and blasted it at Macs at Terminal 2. Jocepuru's voice was strikingly high pitched LOL. This vid featured all my favourite enactus friends wishing me safe flight awwwww. <3 moments like this make all the suffering I went through in Enactus worth it! Kc directed me to watch the "most important part" which happened to be the credits section where I saw
Vid collector- KC
Vid editor- KC
(everything else)- KC
Kc is like master event planner liao hahaha.

Phew, this was a difficult post to write as I kept having to blink back my tears lol. Luckily I'm not sitting with my housemates if not they will be like why is this loser sobbing on the plane LOL =.="

Anyways! To my favourite case budz, thanks for teaching me the true meaning of friendship, you guys are the best friends that I ever had! Thanks for tolerating all my flaws like my low self esteem, being such a closed book sometimes... and over-filtering photos LOL.  I'll try to level up and change for the better!

Hope you all will enjoy and do well for school and all your various ccas (enactus/taekwondo/choir). Time will pass quickly and before we know it... im UiSa time will arrive(?) LOL.

Miss you all so much already! Stay tuned for updates and keep me updated too! <3

Enactus Camp 2015

Whew finally down to blog about the Enactus Camp that went on last weekend!

I initially had an identity crisis because I wasn't going to be in Enactus this sem due to exchange. The final arrangement for my identity turned out to be: fake freshie and part-time senior attached (since I went for the training and am somewhat pro in the social entrepreneurship game that the freshies were to play).

Even though I initially thought that the camp was going to be somewhat stressful due to my stranger anxiety (especially the need to be a big sister to the freshies), it turned out to be really fun and great! The freshies are so friendly and open and even invited the GLs and me to Macs with them awwww. I can already hear Jocelyn saying, "See, aren't you glad I got you to come?" Hahaha. :)

In the morning we did the social entrepreneurship game as mentioned above. Since we knew that the aim of the game was to teach the freshies that understanding the customer is the most important, we had to "lead" them to buy more customer cards with the limited money they had. Jocelyn repeatedly got accused of "hinting too obviously" to the freshies. Because when they asked if they should buy the customer cards she will say "that's a great idea" and when they wanted to buy the other cards she would frown and say otherwise haha. We also guided them (pretty thoroughly) through the Business Model Canvass. Oops, too over-zealous about winning LOL. Alas................................... we won!!! Hahaha. -hides face-

Next, we adjourned to Sentosa to spend the rest of the day with games! There was a distressing moment here as we walked from Vivo to Sentosa using the Boardwalk. It was blazing hot and so humid that we almost got a heatstroke. Thankfully Jocelyn bought iced coffee to save us <3
After taking this photo: "OUCHHHH my eyes"

I really happy that I managed to click with the members of the Enactus exco. Maybe it was because I had Joce and KC around, so the atmosphere felt homely and comfortable.

There was this game where we had to rescue our GL by unlocking a lock. But after trying around 6 games and changing key every time we passed a game, we still couldn't unlock the lock due to bad luck. So we decided to abandon Anu LOL. Just kidding, it was getting too dark so games ended XD.

At 11pm, where the night begins, the exco decided that it was time for kbox. 9 kbox-enthusiasts squeezed into KC's car and went on our kbox adventure! At first everyone was awkward and didn't dare to sing since there were newcomers. We especially didn't dare to go for the high parts due to embarrassment. KC ended up having to cover for everyone and exhausted his voice by the end of kbox LOL.

Eventually though, me and Jocelyn decided to break out of our shyness and sing crazily high pitched songs, disturbing some of the people who passed out from tiredness OOPS. I actually felt really bad afterwards and hoped that they didn't get angry :O

I was supposed to leave on that day itself because there was church the next day. Ended up staying over for the night since it would be ex and dangerous to cab home. (That's also how I realised my skin won't turn bad from one day of not cleansing LOL)

The next day I crept up earlier to make it on church on time. Surprisingly, my blaring alarm didn't wake anyone. I went out to the common toilets to freshen up and saw the most disgusting thing ever. A HUGE lizard in the sink TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT Why oh why did that happen to me TTTTTTTTTTTT. Anyways I leapt for my life and left the resort. It was weird walking out alone in the road that was almost completely empty because we came in such a huge group. But I decided that I was so glad that I chose to come for my third Enactus Camp and connect with the fantastic Enactus friends.

Start of Year 3 Sem 1 (for my friends)

So it has been a week of school for my peers and outings have drastically reduced in number. I thought that the typical indoorsy/home-loving person like me wouldn't mind, but I'm really starting to miss my friends and can't help but wonder what they are up to all day.

I was thankful that the busy case budz managed to meet today. I think I was pretty desperate as it was actually my first time jio-ing the group (it is usually enthu Jocelyn who does the jio-ing). I first told them I "was free to hang out" but was disappointed when no one responded for 8 hours!!! Until Jocelyn told me that I "can't be subtle and must go in with a plan".

Ahh I see...... I feel Jocelyn's frustration in being a jio-er. XD Indeed that worked and we went for our favorite kbox! So happy, I missed them so much!!!!!!!!!

LOL. No amount of filtering would save this grainy photo.

When I told my friends that I was bored at home, KC gave me the evil eye as I didn't go down to the enactus booth to help publicize to freshies. XD Sorweeeee.

Once again we had a smashing time at kbox. Singing without inhibitions can only be done with case budz (until I zaoxia so many times sigh!)

Soon after, Jocelyn left to meet her textbooks seller and the quarter was down to three. Undeterred and with time to spend, we decided to make our way to the arcade.

I dunno if Lot1's arcade was under-furnished or what but they only had a few variety of games- shooting games, car games and the digital-fish-swimming-on-table game (i never figured out what that game was about @.@).

Anyways I was kinda disappointed at first that there were no drumming/pushing-3-button/basketball games as those used to be my favorites.

Surprisingly when we did try the shooting game it was really fun! The first 2D one was super worth it as we could play like 30mins with 3 tokens. With 2 people it's easy to kill the boss but when HC solo-ed, the life reduced much faster hahahha.

The 3D one was awesome because the seat literally would drop when the monster came out and the machine would take our pulse XD my heart rate ended up spiking every time the monster struck XD This high tech arcade machine was pretty eye opening Hahaha. Thanks KC for the Arcade treat!! <3

Ahh this outing was short but I feel really revitalized! Jiayou friends for school and keep me updated!! <3

The day we learnt about self-management

After the exciting NDP parade, Jocelyn collected all the SG50 discount coupons from the goodie bag and asked me out for an adventure! And the discount coupons happen to be for free FACIAL and SLIMMING session HAHAHAHAHA.

-cricket chirp-

At the risk of being judged we still decided to try the experience together! Doing anything with BFF is double the fun. :) In fact, Joce was quite zai about how to escape the hardselling from the sales people at the end of the session. Which is mainly to act like an obedient child who needs to get parental support for every purchase LOL

We tried the slimming session first which was supposed to take 2 hours from 1.30-3.30pm. There was this hilarious moment at the start. We were supposed to take our height and weight to measure our BMI on the charts. My most updated height is 175cm!!! And the tallest height in the list beside me was 172 LOL so my ideal weight was indeterminable XD Then it was Jocelyn's turn to take her height. The height measurer was lowered down and at one point it just stopped and couldn't touch her head LOL. We found it hilarious that we were off the charts in both directions. At last the consultant whacked the height measurer and Jocelyn's height was finally taken. On to the treatment!

The consultant first talked about our eating habits. She kinda said that our eating habits were quite unhealthy as we said that we eat stuff like Tom Yam and fast food when we meet up. Everyone knows that those are unhealthy but it would take so much determination and $$$ to be able to eat clean :( and who could resist the awesome Tom Yam Fried Fish Soup from Jurong East Market... Try it and there's no turning back!! LOL

First stop: Sauna to open our pores
This was one steamy hot sauna! At first we thought we were okay with the heat. But after 5 minutes (which seemed like eternity), we started sweating so much! I don't even sweat that much during 2.4km run. Sweat was just dripping non-stop in that sauna room. The towel that they gave us to cover our faces soon turned so hot that it couldn't be used too. We ended up getting out of the room sooner than they told us to, and feeling slightly light-headed :O

Second stop: Burning Blanket
We were wrapped in this blazing blanket that was supposed to break down fats. Similarly, it started out feeling okay, but suddenly the experience became horrible. It was like we were constrained in a straight jacket that was suffocatingly hot. I had to keep talking to Joce to distract myself from that torture. It was awesome to have Joce doing this together because I would totally try to break out from the blanket if I was alone. Too clautrophobic TT (Although Joce was so unconfortable and screaming in pain to have a proper conversation with me LOL) We decided that real exercising would be better than lying in the Burning Blanket.

Third stop: Fats electrocuting
This stop sounds the most scary but turned out the most relaxing. Electric pods were placed on various problem areas and a current put through. It felt a little like mild vibrations. I think it was easy because they didn't turn the current too high on us. 30 minutes of lying down in a quiet room was pretty good!

Forth stop: Debrief
The consultants tried to persuade us to sign a package over a drink of strawberry + oatmeal. That sour taste and clumpy texture actually felt like vomit to me, but Joce says the drink was super nice LOL. Nevertheless it was for increasing metabolism, so I forced it down XD. We managed to walk out of the shop without succumbing to the consultants (using Jocelyn's technique as mentioned above)

This session was supposed to end at 3.30 but when we looked at the clock when we exited, it was 5pm!!! And Jocelyn had to meet her very busy mentor at 5pm in town!!! She quickly apologised for that mistake but surprisingly, the mentor was totally understanding and ends up deciding to treat Jocelyn ice cream to show her forgiveness. I don't even.... She is so nice! -remembers the many moments where I got angry with Jocelyn for being super late on me hahahahaa- The mentor is just so unimaginably nice!!

OK it's bedtime cause KC is finally back and we are going Msia tmr to rock it out like case budz do!!! Jocelyn please blog about the facial part hahahah

SG50 activities with friends!

In the spirit of SG50, Jocelyn searched for many discounted things that we could do this weekend to "feel the hype" and "be a patriotic Singaporean". XD

Yesterday, we decided to meet S for lunch and then go to Science Center to fulfill our geeky tendencies.

We realised that we haven't sat down with S for a meal in years but yet we could still click like it was 6 years ago! Glad we took the effort to catch up with our old friends this vacation :)

Lunch was a super yummy meal of Yagane, which was korean grilled meat and veggies! Too bad I didn't take pictures TTTTT Can't wait to taste the real deal at korea wahahha!!The chili and smoke was stinging our eyes so badly that we had to run out of the restaurant in the end LOL.

Off to Science Center! It was free because of the SG50 celebrations but we didn't expect the huge throngs of people there. We got laughed at by our friends because we reached there at 3pm when all kiasu Singaporeans probably reached early in the morning XD. Unfortunately, when we finally made it in, all the fun exhibitions that we enjoyed in the past could not be found! They were replaced by many boring exhibitions!! It was also so claustrophobic because there was just so many people. My energy was quickly depleted and I went into lethargic mode LOL.

Luckily we found a garden and started to sing and take selfies there! Which was a quick energy replenisher!

The garden was pretty awesome too! Shall let the pictures do the talking:
Nomming fresh cabbage.

Nice flowers!!

Yup, a pretty anti-climatical end to the science center trip cause it was too crowded to enjoy yesterday XD

-------------------------------------------
Today was an interesting day. I started off rushing down to scape to help with Enactus video, where I was supposed to act as a student listening attentively to a talk. After we listened to the beneficiary giving us a brief of what she wanted to say and were ready to film, Joshua said that he filmed our reactions and it was already a good take. LOL. Ended up not acting at all.

After that we spent some time getting the beneficiary, who was a Visually impaired person, to share some of her difficulties in being someone who was visually impaired. My heart really went out to her as she described the fear she had in going to bed every night as her sight began to deteriorate. She was afraid that her vision would take a turn for the worse the next morning when she wakes up. When she lost her sight, she initially struggled to get off her bed, which she described to be as high as her hip and may be dangerous should she slips off accidentally... BUT! So thankful that she finds satisfaction from being a teacher/trainer with one of our projects in Enactus!

After this we jio-ed HC to the arts science musuem (another free venue for SG50). But there were sooo many people. I think at least 500 people in the queue. We were told that the queue time was 3 hours... and we made the mistake of reporting at 4pm LOL (didn't learn from mistakes). Anyways that would mean 3 hours queue time for 30 min of exhibition viewing so we decided against it.

There was this counter thing from where we were to Esplanade, from 1 to 50. Jocelyn says we should walk the whole pathway to "enjoy the SG50 hype". Me and HC thought otherwise. We were in total yeye and popo mode hahaha. Somehow, Jocelyn the "granddaughter" managed to drag us into the searing hot sun to walk the 1 to 50 trail (we cheated, we started from 28). Jocelyn occasionally breaks into our favourite harmony song "Can't I love you" to try replenish my energy XD Aww thanks for the effort!

We concluded that Jocelyn's Happiness 101 mod has changed her. While we saw this experience as "walking in the searing hot sun when we could be enjoying the air con in MBS", Joce saw it as "walking down the memory lane of Singapore and making history". All of us walked the same path and had 2 different experiences! I decided that I should be more positive and not always see the bad side of things. It definitely helps to keep our energy level up. At one point I was so lethargic that I couldn't even take my phone out for selfies (even though I'm the designated photographer, having the best iPhone camera).

After that our legs were so tired that we decided to have an early dinner. We wanted to eat pizza but saw that 1 pizza that costs $18 to eat-in, while we can take-away 2 pizzas for $21. We considered calling for take-away and asking them to send it to this particular shop that we were at. LOL, decided against it as it was too troll. Even though we were all seated and ready to order, HC the yeye decides that we should not be scammed and asked us to just walk out. Which we did... Jocelyn says that it was the most thrilling moment of her life and that it should be blogged down XD

VISA Story + Pre-exchange reflections

Ahhhh!!! I started this post halfway on my blogger app on my phone and went to bathe. When I came back, the app crashed and everything is gone TTTTTT Oh wells, retyping this on MS Word just to be safe TTTTTT

Stress! My fans are craving for a blog entry but I have nothing to write! Actually it’s just Jocelyn LOL. She’s so eager for me to churn something that she even came up with the topics for me XD Well let’s get started!

---post note: this entry turned out to be quite long and naggy after all HAHA---

The VISA Story
I needed to apply for a VISA to go for exchange at Taiwan. Made plans with N, my exchange buddy, to go the Taiwan Embassy last Friday. We smartly decided to go at 9am sharp so as to beat the queue. I was quite gleeful because I was the first in queue! Cheap thrill LOL

Alas! We were shocked to find out that the VISA needs at least one day to process and they needed to keep our passports with them!! (Actually I’m not supposed to be shocked cause I applied for Taiwan’s visa before for AIESEC =.=). I was going Batam the next Monday and N was going for holiday on Sunday. SO WE NEEDED TO HAVE OUR PASSPORTS WITH US. Yup… We totally made a wasted trip. TTTTT

Good outcome despite a wasted trip
I initially planned for the VISA application to take some time before I meet my mentor at 12noon so I suddenly had 3 hours to kill @.@ N was super nice! She said she will kill the time with me! However, our joy was short-lived as we realized that all the shops were closed as it was too early XD We ended up travelling to plaza Sing to do window shopping. Had so much time that I smelt through all the 20+ perfumes on sale at Robinsons to find the best scent. (On hindsight that might have been the cause of my blocked nose =.=). After that, N and I had a nice time chilling at llaollao. Jocelyn (grauduate of Happiness 101) said to think of this time-wasted circumstance as an opportunity to bond with N and I think it worked out great! #positive thinking

After that I met my mentor who taught me about self-esteem XD HC and Joce wanted to stalk the meeting but failed as they were late as usual hahaha. And that afternoon Jocelyn and I went to change money for our Batam trip and I went to her house to help her dye her hair LOL. The effect wasn’t very obvious but apparently the subtlety was what she was going for, and I effectively got crowned as a good hairstylist. (I don’t even know why I’m blogging all these trivial stuff LOL). On to next story!

Pre-exchange reflections
This exchange is another Romeo and Juliet incident between me and Joce! We were supposed to go exchange and party together but exchange plans took too long so settle and she joined the exco already! Ah well, I’ll make the effort to contact case budz with technology TTTTTTT

N managed to find an apartment among her huge contact base (advantages of going to Business Camp)… And we are going to be staying with 6 other girls (!!!). The introvert in me is facing some stranger anxiety at the moment. I generally take really really long to warm up to new people. Most people’s first impression of me is “quiet girl” hahahaha. One of the reasons I’m comfortable with my case budz is because I can just talk whenever I want to and not try really hard to fish for something in my brain to say. They know I’m quiet and accept me for that #casebudzlove

Other than the social interactions that I need to worry about, there’s also the housework part @.@ My mum really takes care of the household really well and I rarely need to do any housework. Some of my friends call me a qian1jin1xiao2jie3 which means princess =.= So a part of me really wants to work hard to prove myself to them. Also I cannot offend my fellow apartment mates by skiving on the housework also ma. Like I watched ANTM and the girls will suddenly start ganging up and yelling at the one who slacks off and leave the dish stacked up. The horror @.@

Despite having visited Taiwan for quite long last time, I’m pretty excited for this trip! Will miss my family and friends so much @.@ I hope that this experience will be a time for me to grow and improve myself, time to level up!

Batam trip with Jap class

Yay to a successful outing to Batam with Jap class friends! I can't believe I've known these people for 8 years! So there was really no awkwardness but lots of fun and epic moments. Unfortunately not the whole jap class could make it this time! X.X

Don't be deceived by my smile. The morning was pretty distressing as Jocelyn overslept and was uncontactable until B told me to call her house phone LOL.

The ferry to batam was pretty fast as we killed time by playing some games that the guys learned from uni freshie camps. (Wow, freshie camps feel like such a long time ago for me!)

The first stop for us was go kart! I thought I would hate it because I'm such a timid driver but it was so fun! My adrenaline was pumping as I swerved through the sharp corners and enjoyed the wind in my hair!

After that we went to purchase the local kueh lapis which happened to be a bad decision as it turned out to be so oily TT literally every bite would squeeze out some oil from the lapis. Gross!

CC our papa bear then treated all of us to bird's nest which costed him $15! Yay to collagen! (although there was only enough for one spoon per person XD)

Near stop was a visit to the factory outlet for clothes shopping. Unfortunately the design were too untrendy for the ladies but the guys managed to buy some nice printed shirts. We also made the conclusion that guys are such picky shoppers who take as much time as girls to be done XD

We also went to a local bracelet shop where B took a liking to the bracelets where the guy could carve our names/pictures on a wooden plate. They cost $2 for 1 and $5 for 3. After B collected his first bracelet, the seller told him to get 3 for the discount. To which he replied "oh sorry but I only have 2 hands"

(!!!)

Everyone stared at him and laughed because he has unwittingly trolled the uncle with his (as usual) weird comments HAHAHA. It's funny because he is really not doing this on purpose.

Back into the tour bus and taking selfies! <have so many of these but shall not spam>

After that we checked into our comfy hotel at Harmoni One. Jocelyn and I had nothing to do in the room so we decided that we should start training our head voice. FYI that means high pitched screaming.

Jocelyn easily did it and reached some supersonic high pitch. At the start I couldn't access it but I think it may have worked at one point of time! Yay! Halfway through the screaming we realized that we should be considerate and ask if our neighbors can hear us. So we made a phone call and asked R if she heard us. Turns out that they did HAHA. So we ended our vocal training session prematurely.

Aww we look so happy here!

After washing up and resting, we went to Mega Mall using the hotel's free shuttle service. Had a wonderful dinner at A&W. The waffles are a must try! So soft and fluffy and warm!! <my face is huge in all the pictures as I was the designated photographer with my iPhone TT>

We went for our long-awaited Kbox session after dinner (Joce and I wanted to try out head voice during kbox -cue evil laughter-). The best song to practice that is "heart attack" by Demi lovato. After singing the super high pitch part and coming to our senses, we realized that everyone was covering their ears and death-staring at us. Oops, maybe head voice training is not such a good idea XD

The group then decided that Jocelyn and B should sing a duet together since B was a singer with much potential but has yet to realize it (think an in-tune but really creaky voice) so B should start training XD the rest of the 4 of us took it upon ourselves to direct the whole singing session, telling the 2 how to count the tempo ("remember ah, no gap!"), how to singing with expression and most importantly, how to have EYE CONTACT (LOL). Laughed so much because all of us were so agitated when coaching and it was so hilarious when they followed our direction!

We made them sing "wu ding" 4 times (!!!) and saw a marked improvement! The trainers and singers were all very proud of ourselves!

We had to leave as the kbox closed at 11. On the road back it was very dark and scary. R even saw a bunch of cockroaches running towards them (!!!) Suddenly, due to the rugged terrain, Jocelyn's wedges broke to a point beyond repair! She bravely tried to walk on but the floor was too prickly.

In the end......

She got piggy backed by B! The picture looks sweet but it wasn't always smooth sailing. When Jocelyn first jumped on, B actually collapsed backwards LOL thereby hurting Jocelyn's pride HAHAHA. But awwww, look at how sweet the picture is! (Jocelyn why didn't you turn your head to the right! Teehee)

CC and R also took turns to carry Jocelyn because at one point of time, B's muscles were too overworked hahahha.

After we went back to the hotel, we had a nice time eating Maggie Mee and having HTHT talks, which revolved around the topic of how to get out of the friendzone, but we haven't found any case study of that happening :OOOOOO

Next morning we had the hotel's buffet breakfast and we loved the eggs and pancakes! Hearty breakfasts are the best!
We had one hour to kill before the bus took us to the ferry so we went to the swimming pool to take pics! I love this photo I took!

So sunny but worth it as the photos are nice!
This would have been perfect if not for the obscene stomach flashing! XD this picture is in reference to #爱情的形状 which is a song lyric in wu ding. I don't know how it happened but we just spontaneously came up with this formation hahaha.
..... Some weird photos in the loot as well XD

Successful OOTD shot! :)

We ended the trip with a nice photowall that CC spotted! <3

I'm so happy that this trip happened despite everyone being so busy. The guys have freshie camps and orientation stuffs every week but still managed to take 2 days off their busy schedule. Glad that there are really no awkward moments with old friends, conversations flows naturally and inside jokes can be repeated endlessly. The whole trip we just kept going "warao I only have 2 hands" and "排成爱你的形状" to laugh at B. Aww awesome memories :)

Looking to the next trip with this bunch! <3

Shopping with 3/4 case budz

Aww KC has flown but the case budz spirit shall not be stopped!

Since Joce's shoes were spoilt, we decided that a shopping trip to bugis street would be the way to go!

.... Except that I completely forgot about the outing. LOL. I was completely engrossed in finishing all my backlog of videos accumulated from 10 weeks of internship that I ended up sleeping all the way till 1pm! Actually it's not even my fault cause they set the meeting time the day before at 2am =.= When I switched on my phone to do my routine whatsapp check like every morning (oops afternoon in sat's case), Jocelyn's call suddenly came in:

Joce: eh we going bugis right?
Me: oh yes.... (Pretend to rmb). What time was it again ah?
Joce: 1pm!

I stared at the clock and realized it was 1pm already hahahahhaha. Rush hour began and I sped down by 2.20!

 Phew!

Jocelyn the meanie insisted that I'm supposed to treat drinks because I came so late. Bu.. But I didn't agree to playing punctuality ranking that day lor. Hmmph. Sassy mode on. Lol. In the end I still paid $2 hahahha.

Once again we managed to witness Jocelyn's decisive shopping style as she managed to get her shoes by the third shoe shop we went to! So awesome cause they were quite affordable and the colour was nice as well! Most importantly there were heels so that lessened her height gap with me and HC for about 10cm 😂😂😂 soon after, Jocelyn also grabbed a red coat to wear and be patriotic on national day.

While me and HC were trying to shop for some clothes but ended up not spending a cent haha. I dunno if it's cause nothing was nice enough or if we are not very decisive shoppers 😂😂😂

It was pretty insightful to go shop with a guy as I realized all my favourite florals were deemed to be "auntie" TT. Also that ripped jeans were "过时”. The fashionista in me wanted to protest that I can werk it but decided to trust my friends after all 😂

After a few hours of shopping we were thoroughly exhausted and ended our day by having meepok for dinner.

Shoutout to KC in case he feels left out! We miss you!!!

Case budz meetup before KC flies!

Just did my Sunday afternoon routine with case budz! Yay!

Firstly we did our punctuality ranking again with KC coming in LAST again. 😂
Jocelyn finally came in first! Second goes to me, the consistently punctual casebudz member. Btw my fringe malfunctioned as mum randomly slapped some gel on it this morning and I was unable to separate the strands hahaha.

Went for a binging session at tong le dim sum buffet and HC footed half the bill cause his salary was twice ours! Yay! #casebudzlove

After that, feeling overfed and guilty, we decided to walk all the way to hc's house!! Survived the distance by talking about naruto and singing random songs even though almost all of us had a sore throat. #kboxanytimeanywhere

Took a celebratory picture to see the distance we covered! :) and we kept laughing at how hc looks like a submissive girlfriend of kc in the pict😂

Sefie again!! Yes we walked across that whole field ;)

After that we went into hc's house and saw his good looking dad (hahahah) and played cards as per our usual routine!

Ended this short but great afternoon with hugs and smiles (Cheesy alert). Case budz outing doesn't fall short of expectations! Can't wait to meet when kc is back! Bon voyage and have fun!!!

My favorite case budz

On the way to Msia as part of our case budz almost-weekly meetups now! The bus is totally jammed so I decided to take some time to blog as requested by Jocelyn, the greatest fan of this blog 😆

After each week of internship, we look forward to meeting each other to unwind and do something fun together. Fun guaranteed! Shall write about the impact the case budz made to my life!

1) playing more card games in the past few months than my whole life:

Us cozying up on Jocelyn's bed playing taitee :)

With a group of friends who loves games to bits, we meet to play card/board games almost once every 2 weeks! As a total non-gamer before, I was ridiculously bad at all the games lol. Especially strategy games like munchkins. I'd totally get yelled at by them for my non existent gaming strategies. Other luck based games like mahjong and taitee are not thaaaaaaat bad. 😎

2) Singing kbox VERY often:
Us feasting at kbox buffet :)

I'm so happy that our shared interest is singing!! Our favorite pastime is to crazily belt our lungs out or to do a guy vs girl competition. Soo fun!!

3) Having fun chats over meals:
Us having a fab meal at JB :)

Whether it's random poking fun at each other, catching up on each other's lives or KC giving Jocelyn social etiquette lessons, we never fail to have lots of laughter and fun moments :)

4) setting up of "the punctuality ranking":
Us being angry at KC who was late :)

Haha because HC is a perpetual latecomer, we decided that we should do a punctuality ranking thingy to keep everyone on their toes. Just to update, the current ranking is
1) me!!! Muahahaha
2) Joce
3) HC
4) KC
KC is determined to get his crown back!

5) playing the most fast escalating prank with Jocelyn:
Jocelyn reeling in shock at the prank :)

Basically since Joce lost one of the wagers we had, she had to do the dare  of doing a confession to a certain Mr B over whatsapp. So is 3 masterminds carefully planned the messages out and conversed with the confused Mr B lol. Aiya but the truth is that Mr B was an old crush (with an undying flame) so the confession was a truth packaged as a dare. With many bold(?) messages from the masterminds, the truth came to light and Mr B was obliged to make a reply.

Unfortunately it didn't work out in the end :((( but through this confession I'm glad that Joce finally checked this lingering item off her to-do list and grown from it a lot, while putting her happiness101 knowledge into good use for positive thinking! Don't worry my friend! Good days are ahead!

6) experiencing real friendship:
Us claiming Joce's plushies as our own :)

I sure hope everyone is lucky enough to have a close circle of friends that you are very comfortable with, I would think it's rather rare and I'm lucky that magic happened in our clique :) we feel comfortable enough to share our insecurities, totally go crazy and completely be ourselves with each other.

Awwww mushy hahaha.

Hope that many years later when I'm re-reading this entry of mine, these friends will continue to stay as close as ever :)
