End of working stint at de Pacific :(

Today was the third last day at work at de Pacific. It's really such a sad feeling to be leaving people that I've come to be so comfortable with, can't stop tears from welling up each time I think of how they have been so kind to me for the past 5 months. My boss treated us to Pizza Hut on Monday because it was my last week at work!

I will always remember how I panic when the dentist asked for instruments with chim names, and would run to ask my colleagues while the dentist and patient waited XD I will remember how the dental clinic would transform into a gauze production factory (while watching korean dramas) when the patients were late for appointments. I will remember how I got corrupted because my colleagues were always sharing sick jokes. I will remember how i threw away a patient's x-ray because i thought it was trash. And the time where the patient gave $1000 dollar bill for $500 treatment and was like "wah, dont even have change ah?" and Maria said " we cut the note into half and return u one part?" LOL. I will remember how me and my colleagues had to dig through trash because a scaler tip was thrown away accidentally. The list goes on and on...

Here is what I wrote for them:

Dear colleagues at de Pacific,

It has truly been such an honor and privilege to have worked here for the past 5 months. Even when I first came with no experience as a dental nurse, I was able to catch on because I had such great teachers. I really enjoyed myself in the de Pacific family and always looked forward to work each day. Thanks for making me feel warm and welcomed in my workplace. I don't express myself well, but I'm always filled with gratitude towards all of you.

As I go on to pursue my studies, my thoughts are with you. I hope that everyone at de Pacific finds success and fulfillment in all that you do!

Yours sincerely,
Angela

Wisdom tooth surgery!!

I had surgery to remove my lower right wisdom tooth today! For those who don't know, I'm working at a dental clinic as a dental assistant so I watch surgeries all the time @.@ I remember when I watched a wisdom tooth surgery for the first time, I almost fainted!! @.@ But now I got used to it already! Very interesting to watch actually! *evil laugh*

And if you always thought that nurses uniform were supposed to be sexy, wait till u see what I look like at work.

Wait for it

HAHA! How is it?!

-pic made small because I look super ugly haha-
-ok dont stare hor-

So anyways I decided to remove my right wisdom tooth because the dentist said it is likely to trap food and give me problems like infection and decay in the future. The procedure was totally painless because of the local anaesthetic jab. While my reliable dentist sliced at my gums, used the “shovel” to elevate the tooth and used the “drill” to divide my tooth into half, I didn’t feel anything. Thank God for science and technology. If not really can’t imagine how much pain I must go through TT

Here is my wisdom tooth!
Dentist asked me to put this under my pillow for the tooth fairy ._. lol

This is the gauze that I bit on for 1 hour. Showed it to family at dinner and they shouted at me"Go away!" ._. I remember the last time I extrated both my upper premolars I also bit on to 2 pieces of guaze. When I was trying to pull out the guaze they wouldn't come out. So I thought the blood must have hardened and the guaze became attached to my mouth =.= when i finally went to the mirror to pull it out I realized I was pulling at my lips!! Super numb so I couldnt feel them =.=

And I have another thing to share! Today I realised that my arm muscle became huge after dance camp.
Not huge like a weight lifter but significantly bigger than before!

But all I did was fling my arms around in an attempt to dance leh. Last time in NCC do push up until so hiong but didnt get muscles. Sian now I must maintain my arms if not the muscle will nua TT

End of soul funky camp!!

Day 3
We learnt whacking and house dance today! Super cool, the whacking instructor Andy was such a diva ;) Whacking is so tiring for the arms. I stood right in front so I had to give it my all and now my arms feel like they are about to drop off TT and after that we went for the food trail 接龙 game! We had to start the food chain with the sound "soul" and end with "ki" (because camp name is soul funky). So our group split up to look for soda- da ji pai (chicken cutlet)- pai gu mian (rib noodles) - mian xian (vermicelli) - xian cao (grass jelly) - cao fan (fried rice) - fan with taoki (rice with some gross plastic-ky thing *i dunno what is taoki*). Hahaha the last one we anyhow one, as the management was chasing us away already lol.

Later at night it was time for the SPs to meet face to face for the first time. The girls just had to sit in the living room while the SPs entered 2 by 2 for their talent showcase, after which they can ask 3 qns to figure out who is their SP.

I was super nervous when I was told my SP was coming in next lol. The first thing I thought when he came in was "ahh... he's cute" haha. (The other girls thought so too lol) My SP had it easy because he sang xiao jiu wo and had a good voice (even after drinking chili/wasabi solution!!!) so he passed quite easily. The other guys had to do crazy stuff like acting like Pokemon characters, do dance battles and even worm crawl in a sleeping bag. @.@ also they had to eat alot of gross stuff. at that time I was really thankful to be a girl hah.  After that the guy had to do a cheesy pickup line. My SP asked me to touch him and he asked "do u know what this is?" Me: "what?" Him "boyfriend material". ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ haha quite funny right. Then after that he asked "Are u 174?", which was quite apparent la (I think I'm one head taller than all the girls in my group lol) so he could identify me with one qn, much to the seniors' disappointment cause they were having so much fun tekan-ing the guys.

Day 4
Beach games day! Very fun but the seawater kept stinging my eyes. TT after the beach games we showered and went for the SP date. I ended up going with Jingqi and Jocelyn's pair and some other people cause us 3 very awkward turtle one. Lol. My SP brought us to Clarke quay for jap food, which was very yummy! Long words short say (长话短说) it was alot less awkward than I thought and quite fun too.

Day 5
OG dance and couple dance battle day! My group did 2 songs mixed together (Fine China and Fantastic Baby). Very awesome choreo done by Vincent but I screwed up twice zzz, but it was a whole lot of fun! and the dance battle was so good! All freshmen all danced superbly. And Vincent from my OG won!!! So happy for him. Oh oh oh! There was a camp vid that was shown and jingqi, jocelyn and me all got the spotlight LOL. I was doing kiyomi with my team mates for a dare to earn points, jingqi was demostrating popping moves and Jocelyn was playing seven wonders with a guy!!!! Everyone was like "woooooooo!" HAH eventful right.

Finally I'm at home now and everything feels like a good dream. Muscles are aching badly and my head is spinning. (Even though my GL said this camp is relatively very slack compared to other camps already!!) Really glad for the experience and exposure to popping and locking. I think this camp will be on my mind for the next few weeks.

Wah yuan lai camp zhe me kong bu

I signed up for soul funky dance camp with Jocelyn and Jingqi! Made a wrong choice to bring a luggage which I had to lug up 3 flights of stairs.

Day 1:
So the highlight of today was at night where we got to hang out with the special partner (SP) and... it was totally a weird experience. My SP is 1.75m and I am 1.74m so I called him 175 and he called me 174 lol. I actually, for the first time, while blindfolded, held hands with a stranger guy and chatted for 10 mins. And the guy was attached...(._.) lols rather than love, it was awkwardness in the air~~

And in the day we learned the basics of popping and locking which was really fun too.

Day 2:
Amazing race day!
To everyone's horror, one of the stations required us to stand in a circle and to come out one at a time to do a solo dance. So it became the day where Angela showcased her mediocre shuffling steps as her group compassionately helped to cheer. X.X And the whole process was filmed as each of us embarrassed ourselves. I hope i dont ever see that vid on fb X.X But there was a pro guy Vincent who can do b-boying! So impressive! So far camp has been pretty enjoyable :)

The day I became a fool. X.X

So today I was happy fun at kbox with my 3 colleagues, singing at the top of our lungs and jumping around.

I felt my phone vibrate, so I went out to answer it.

-hello is this Angela?
-yes
-ok so our company is doing a lucky draw for a collaboration between running in the sun and nbs and you're one of our 4 winners! You ever went to a concert RITs organized right?
-ermm yes? (I was thinking, ohmygosh, after so many years of not winning lucky draws, it's finally my time to shine!! *gleeful*) (and I went for shinee's concert btw)
-so we are accepting you for an internship but u need to come for an interview next tues!
(Me: make plans in head abt how to take leave from work =.=)
-if u accept this internship you will need to travel very often, mostly to Korea, can u commit to that?
-me: I guess so? (.... I'm so noob ahh)
-ok, now you just need to sing a part of your favorite kpop song to win!
-(me: what kind of weird thing is this?? Am I on something like a sheng shiong show where I need to react fast??)
-me: sings a part of shinee's lucifer (I was kboxing so was in the mood for singing.... !!!!!!!!! I'm cringing at the embarrassment of this!!!)

-guy: hahahaha! Actually that was a lie la! I'm a GL from nbs and are you free for the camp from 15-19 July.
-me: what????? What is going on??

Ok the rest is the serious part where we discussed the camp fee/ pre camp etc.

Sigh!!! I can't believe I fell prey to the prank! When I watch those people on tv who believes when the scammers say their kids got kidnapped I'll always be like, "ahh so cheesy! Why they always so noob!" And today is the day I got scammed. Wah meng ti, wah meng ti~~~~~ actually I found the whole convo very queer and incoherent la, but I just played along to everything!! Argh

Note to self: when its too good to be true, it's too good to be true.

On the train

Bored on the journey towards bbdc for driving lesson~~~ I'm typing this on the train!

Recently I have been addicted to watching tv, especially 偶像剧 (idol dramas)!

I realize I like the kind of shows where the male lead and female lead try to hide their feelings for each other and act so macho about it when they are actually in love. Like when the female lead gets injured the guy will lose his macho-ness and 英雄救美 immediately. Kyaaa isn't that so cute?? Lol. *deranged smile*

But then it seems like this sort of thing doesn't actually happen in real life leh. I have weird expectations of dating after being brainwashed by tv lol.

Ok I've reached bukit gombak for my driving lesson. Byebye.
Haha I just realized I wasted your time reading nonsense. XD
