Random Ramblings

Funny how the grass is always greener on the other side.

While studying I really couldn't wait to be liberated. Hitting the books from after school all the way to late at night gave headaches and was backbreaking (literally). And of course it was mentally straining as well.

Yet now as I look back I remember the little joys me and my friends enjoyed while suffering together. On tuition day we would definitely stuff ourselves with laoban/ahmah touhua, bubble tea, donuts,  and eat the chicken Parmesan bread from breadtalk (you really need to try this!!) Jocelyn and me liked to reward ourselves with brownies and ice-cream or potato chunks when we studied in JE lib (no wonder our weight skyrocketed), or we would be in our secret hideout singing Taylor swift's safe and sound LOL (Really gone mad already).

I guess what we have to do is to see the happiness in each moment even as we suffer, for there would be fond memories to look back to when it's all over :)

Post A Level life

The post A Level life that I envisioned seems to deviate from what's actually happening now.
While preparing for As, me and Jocelyn would always would sigh and say "After As confirm super shiok, can do whatever we want". My current life consists of work, learning driving and... playing candy crush LOL.

What fun stuff do people do after As? (*_*) Jocelyn and I contemplated going clubbing just to experience how it's like but I don't think we'll enjoy it much. I don't like the taste of alcohol and the sight of me dancing should probably be confined to a locked room. (._.)

Maybe I should pick up a new skill like cooking? But whenever Jocelyn and I attempt to cook, it never turns out well. In home econs we burned butter and sugar till it got caramelized and stuck to the pot. When we tried baking pasta her whole house short-circuited. And when we baked cookies we ended up covered with rashes (・_・); the others who ate the cookies were perfectly fine lol.

*prays for a more eventful uni life*

RVGE 2013 syf

Jocelyn, Jialing and me went to watch juniors play for SYF on wednesday. Really proud to see juniors performing! My mouth almost cramped because I was smiling so much. X.X When I was still in the CCA we were told that we will not be able to atend SYF anymore after the first batch and everyone was so bummed. Thankfully we managed to pull through! This reminds me, I haven't picked up my guitar since last year *shifty eyes*

Woohoo, look at them being all ready!Mr Hung was the conductor!

And guess what, we got a silver! Pretty remarkable since they are only the second batch sent for SYF. (≧ω≦)

After watching, we went to Jialing's workplace (TomsNToms cafe) for dinner.
This is Jialing making the tortilla for us!

Looking GOOD

Super yummy maple syrup toast ^^
Just realized that we didnt take any self shots =OO Noooooo I was wearing something cool  (︶︹︺)

Church piano playing

This first post is to commemorate my first time playing the piano for church worship service! Anyone who knows me would probably know that this kind of situations are pee-in-my-pants situations and I just get so nervous!

Thankfully *most* of it went on smoothly and I didn't faint or anything lol. Finally my hard work paid off, I actually went to church everyday this past week to practice after work TT Grateful to my dad and mum who tagged along and were more kanchiong than me haha, they made me replay the whole song when I made one mistake!! Also grateful to Bernice who taught me how to use the clavi step by step and encouraged me to start serving in church. Grateful to all lovely church members who came over to tell me I did fine. And grateful to God, who reminded me once again that He's always with me.
